Become a Member!
Membership in Music Tell is free of charge. This is because all information in Music Tell is public knowledge. Once you are a member, you may Add, Edit and Link records in the Music Tell database. Music Tell is the result of contributions by people who are involved in the music industry or bear an exceptional knowledge of music history.
Take Charge of Your Data
When Adding or Editing a record for a person or a song, you may "lock" the record to secure the information. This is usually the case when a Producer or Admin on a project wants to insure that only valid credits are assigned or when a musician takes charge of his or her individual page. When a member locks a record, they automatically become the admin for that record and their user name will be stamped at the bottom of the record (only viewable by other members) as the Admin. This is also a great defense against abuse once all information has been completed.
Abuse
If you should encounter malicious site content or some content has been altered which appears to purposefully discredit or mislead visitors, please read our abuse page and if necessary, report the incident.
Privacy
With Music Tell, none of the explicit information you enter, such as your mailing address, city, state or country is reproduced, re-used or displayed from any part of the site unless you chose "for-hire" on your info page in which case your email is displayed. Membership information is for Music Tell contact purposes in reporting errors or abuse. |
